Thackeray family reunion: Raj-Uddhav's conversation video goes viral, seen at relative's wedding

Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray, who were seen apart politically and familially for a long time, were recently seen together at a family wedding in Dadar. The two leaders were seen together and talking at the wedding of Raj Thackeray’s sister Jayawanti Thackeray Deshpande’s son. The wedding took place at Raje Shivaji Vidyalaya in Dadar, Mumbai.

Both Raj and Uddhav attended the wedding to bless their nephew. Uddhav Thackeray arrived with his family and blessed the newlyweds. Photos and videos of the two brothers standing together and showering rice on the newlyweds during the wedding are going viral on social media.

Interestingly, earlier Raj Thackeray also attended the wedding of Shaunak Patankar, son of Uddhav’s wife Rashmi Thackeray’s brother Shridhar Patankar. The ceremony took place at the Taj Lands Hotel in Mumbai. However, the Thackeray brothers did not meet at this wedding as both arrived at different times.

The two leaders had launched sharp attacks on each other during the Maharashtra assembly elections. However, the performance of both the parties in the election was disappointing – MNS did not get a single seat and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) got only 20 seats. Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray contested from Mahim seat in Mumbai but lost, while Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray won the Worli seat after a close contest.

After this family reunion, the hope of the Thackeray brothers uniting has been revived among the Marathi voters of Maharashtra and the workers of both parties.
