The level of air pollution in many areas including Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar has reached the ‘severe’ category (AQI above 400).
According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), at 7 am today, AQI was recorded at Anand Vihar 427, Rohini 404, Ashok Vihar 402, Mundka 392, Dwarka Sector 8 385, Bawana 383, RK Puram 380, ITO 358.

Let us tell you that AQI between zero to 50 is considered ‘good’, between 51 to 100 is ‘satisfactory’, between 101 to 200 is ‘moderate’, between 201 to 300 is ‘bad’, between 301 to 400 is ‘very bad’, between 401 to 450 is ‘severe’ and AQI above 450 is considered ‘extremely severe’.

Usually from 2 to 6 November, the maximum temperature is 30.5 and the minimum temperature is 15.3 degrees Celsius, and from 7 November to 11 November, the maximum temperature is 29.5 and the minimum temperature is 14.3 degrees Celsius, but in the last few years, a continuous increase in temperature is being seen. On Saturday also, the maximum temperature was recorded three degrees above normal at 33.9 and the minimum temperature was two degrees above normal at 17.1 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any special change in the temperature on Sunday. The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 33 and the minimum temperature is 17 degree Celsius. From 3 to 8 November, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 32-33 degrees, and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 16-17 degrees. After this, the temperature may start falling slightly.
At the same time, the level of pollution in the Yamuna River has increased significantly. Toxic foam has been seen floating in the Yamuna River in the Kalindi Kunj area.
