However, there is no official confirmation from the Indian Military. As per the India Today report, the Army ambushed Pakistan’s Border Action Team(BAT). The terrorists killed by the Indian forces are likely to be members of the Al-Badr terrorist group.
Notably, Bat is Pakistan’s specialized unit to carry out cross-border operations. The development came a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said his country wanted to resolve all the issues, including Kashmir, with India.
Last week also, the Army thwarted an infiltration bid along the LoC in Poonch and killed two terrorists. Nagrota-headquartered White Knight Corps said that it detected a terrorist movement on the LoC on the night of January 30 and alerted troops to engage in the terrorists trying to infiltrate.
