The winter schedule of regular commercial flights will be effective from October 27 and will remain in force till March 26, 2025.
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The beginning of winter this year will be a delight for air travelers as Indore will get additional flights to five major destinations – New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, and Jaipur – under the winter schedule. These flights will be operated by IndiGo and Air India Express. However, there is a setback with this as well.
Flight operations to Surat and Varanasi have been stopped. Along with this, there will also be a change in the arrival-departure timings of some flights, including Indore-Sharjah international flights, due to runway reconstruction in February. The winter schedule will be effective from October 27 and will remain in force till March 26, 2025. After this, the summer schedule will come into force, which will run till October 26, 2025.
Although the winter schedule will be effective from October 27, the dates of the start of operation of new flights will vary. Jose Travels Managing Director TK Jose said that under the winter schedule, leading private sector airline IndiGo will start its flights to Chennai, Pune, and Jaipur, while Air India Express will start flights to New Delhi and Kolkata.
The companies have started booking these flights as they have received permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to operate them. However, passengers are disappointed with discontinuing flights to Surat and Varanasi in the winter schedule. While the reason for stopping operations has been cited as operational reasons, sources say that the airline has decided to stop flights in winter due to heavy fog at Varanasi airport.
Ullas Nair, owner of Vistara Travels, said that additional flights to New Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, Chennai, and Kolkata will give passengers more options for their flights.
Indore-Jaipur-Indore
Flight 6E 7154 will depart from Jaipur at 11.20 am and reach Indore airport at 12.50 pm. Flight 6E 7109 will depart from Indore at 4.10 pm and reach Jaipur at 5.30 pm.
Indore-Pune-Indore
Flight 6E 6192 will depart from Indore at 11.55 am and reach Pune at 1 pm. Flight 6E 6191 will depart from Pune at 1.55 pm and return to Indore at 3.05 pm.
Indore-Chennai-Indore
Flight 6E 991 will depart from Chennai at 9.15 am and reach Indore airport at 11.25 am. Flight 6E 995 will depart from Indore at 3.40 pm and reach Chennai at 5.45 pm.
Indore-Delhi-Indore
Flight IX 2511 will depart from Indore at 7.45 am and reach Delhi at 9.15 am. Flight IX 2513 will depart from Delhi at 1.55 pm and reach Indore at 3.20 pm.
Indore-Kolkata-Indore
Flight IX 2643 will depart from Kolkata at 6.30 pm and reach Indore airport at 8.40 pm. Flight IX 2644 will depart from Indore at 9.10 pm and reach Kolkata at 11.20 pm.
