Security forces have killed two terrorists in Panipura, Sopore in Baramulla district.
After overnight peace in the Sagipora area of Sopore in North Kashmir, firing between terrorists and security forces started again on Friday. Two terrorists have been killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area. The search operation is underway.
Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, ‘Two terrorists have been killed in the Sopore encounter. Their identity and affiliation are being ascertained. Incriminating material, weapons, and ammunition have been recovered.’

A top police official said that based on intelligence input on Thursday evening, a joint team of police and army cordoned off the suspected area. During the search, there was some firing by the terrorists, however, the operation was suspended for the night as a precaution. However, the security forces had sealed all the exit routes near the targeted house, leaving no chance for the terrorists to escape. The operation was resumed this morning.
