A new picture of Priyanka Gandhi in Parliament has surfaced on social media. In this picture, Priyanka is seen carrying two bags, one of which has “Bangladesh… stand with Hindus and Christians” written on it.
Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, who was targeted by BJP leaders on Monday for arriving at Parliament with a bag written ‘Palestine’, was seen in Parliament on Tuesday with a different bag. This time a message was written on her bag highlighting the plight of Hindu and Christian minorities in Bangladesh. This minority community, which is facing attacks from the majority community after the fall of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, came into the limelight through this bag.
BJP leader Amit Malviya targeted Priyanka and said, “At the end of the Parliament session, observe two minutes of silence for all those in Congress who thought Priyanka Vadra was the solution they should have adopted earlier. She is a bigger failure than Rahul Gandhi. She thinks that bringing a bag supporting ‘Palestine’ to Parliament is a fight against patriarchy. It is clear that communal sympathy towards Muslims is now being projected as a stand against patriarchy.”
He further said, “Make no mistake, Congress is now the new Muslim League.”
Priyanka Gandhi raised the issue of Bangladesh in Parliament
Priyanka Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha, “The first issue I want to raise is that this government should raise its voice against the atrocities being committed against Hindu and Christian minorities in Bangladesh. The government should talk to them and support them.”
