According to the health bulletin released by the KIMS Cuddles Hospital in Hyderabad, where the child is undergoing treatment, the eight-year-old is on ventilator support due to the extensive injuries he suffered in the stampede and his neurological condition has also not been showing. No signs of improvement.

“His fever is reducing and on minimal inotropes, his vital parameters are stable. He is tolerating feeds well,” the bulletin read.

The medical team treating the child also stated that doctors were considering a tracheostomy to help him breathe and get him off the ventilator. Currently, he is on mechanical ventilation with minimal support of oxygen and pressure.

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand, who also visited the hospital as part of the investigation in the raid case, reportedly told the media that the child was “brain-dead”.

For those unversed, the makers of Pushpa 2 organized a special premiere of the film at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theater on December 4, and it was attended by actor Allu Arjun himself. As fans got a whiff of the actor’s presence in the theatre, a massive stampede ensued, claiming the life of a woman named Revathy, while her 8-year-old son fights for his life.

Allu Arjun was booked for the riot and was arrested on December 13 from his Hyderabad residence. While he was remanded to 14-day judicial custody by a local court, the Telangana High Court granted him bail and he was released from jail the following day.

Mourning the loss of his fan, the actor announced that he would give Rs 25 lakh to the bereaved family as compensation, and would also look after all the medical expenses of the child.
