Terror Attack in Akhnoor JK: Terrorists have once again attacked an army vehicle in Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir by laying an ambush. However, the security forces foiled the conspiracy of the terrorists. A group of suspected terrorists allegedly opened fire on Indian Army vehicles in the Jogwan area of Akhnoor city of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (28 October) morning. After the alleged attack, the army launched a massive search operation in the area. An encounter is reportedly going on in the Battal area of the Akhnoor sector of the Jammu district.
It is believed that the target is the same terrorist group that was involved in attacking the vehicles of security forces on Monday morning. At present, heavy firing is going on from both sides. An official told PTI that a search operation was launched on Monday morning after information was received about the presence of three terrorists in the Akhnoor sector near the border with Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir.
Security officials said that villagers reported the presence of heavily armed terrorists near the Asan temple in the Bhattal area of Khaur. Officials said that when an army ambulance passed through the border village, the sound of gunfire was heard there.
