TMKOC Actor Gurucharan Singh 'Critical' & 'Very Disturbed' In Hospital, Didn't Eat Anything For 19 Days, Reveals Friend

TV actor Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is in critical condition in hospital. His close friend Bhakti Soni disclosed that his condition has deteriorated. Gurucharan Singh has been incapable of eating or drinking for 19 days, leading to unconsciousness and hospitalization.

Television actor Gurucharan Singh, best known for playing the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is in serious condition at the hospital. Days after he shared his health update with fans, his close friend Bhakti Soni said that his health has been ‘very poor’.

In an interaction with TOI and Times Now, Bhakti said that Gurucharan Singh had not consumed anything for 19 days. She revealed that the actor was hospitalized a few days back, however, after he was discharged, his health deteriorated. Now he is admitted to a government hospital.

“He hasn’t eaten food or drunk water for 19 days. Because of that, he fell unconscious and was quickly rushed to the hospital. When he came back, he tried getting work, but he didn’t get anything. Take sanyas,” she said.

“I haven’t met him, but his mother used to keep me informed. His health has been very poor. At one point, he was hospitalized but was taken back home. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated again, leading to another hospital admission, She added.

Revealing shocking details about Gurucharan’s financial condition, she said, “He had a debt of about Rs 1.2 crore. However, his father owns a property worth Rs 55 crore. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing dispute as the tenants are not vacant the property. If the matter gets resolved and the property is sold, he should be able to clear his loan.”

“He is troubled, but I cannot say for sure if he is depressed,” Bhakti further mentioned.

Meanwhile, a day after the auspicious occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, Guru Charan shared an emotional video from his hospital bed. He wished his followers and expressed gratitude, saying that God had blessed him with a new life.

While he did not reveal the reason for his hospitalization, he stated in the video that his health deteriorated recently. “The situation has worsened,” he said.

Guru Charan rose to fame with his stint in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma. He made headlines after his alleged disappearance in April 2024. Gurucharan, who came back after 25 days after his disappearance, stated, that he was on a ‘spiritual trip’ alone.

After he returned to Mumbai, he spoke to a few media portals about his disappearance and how he had been having a difficult time for the past few years. In a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, the TMKOC actor also disclosed that he has been surviving on bread and milk and is currently under a debt of Rs 1.2 crore.

He also stated back then that he had been looking for work and that it has been more than a month since he was back but is not getting any work.
