Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife last night.
Police officer Dixit Godam told BBC Marathi, “An unknown person entered Saif Ali Khan’s house. After this, there was a scuffle between Saif and this person. The actor got injured in this and is undergoing treatment. The investigation is on.”
News agency ANI has quoted Mumbai Police as saying that a person broke into Saif Ali Khan’s house and first argued with his domestic help.
However, when Saif Ali Khan tried to intervene, the intruder attacked him.
News agency PTI has quoted a police officer as saying that the intruder attacked Saif Ali Khan with a knife. He is currently out of danger.

In a statement from Saif Ali Khan’s team, it has been told that there was an attempt at theft in his house.
This statement says, “There was an attempt of theft in Saif Ali Khan’s house. He is currently in the hospital and his surgery is going on. We request the media and fans to be patient. This is a police matter. We will keep you informed on this.”
At the same time, Kareena Kapoor’s PR agency has also said there was an attempt of theft in her and Saif’s house last night. Saif has suffered an injury in his hand and he is in the hospital. The rest of the family members are wonderful.

According to a report in the English newspaper Hindustan Times, a thief entered Saif Ali Khan and his wife Kareena Kapoor’s house in Bandra at around 2.30 am late at night. During this time Saif Ali Khan was at home with his family.
The report states that the thief fled from the spot and the police are searching for the attacker.
The report quotes a senior IPS officer saying about the incident, “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital.”
