Who is ahead and who is behind in the counting trends of the Delhi elections?

The initial trends of counting of votes have started coming in for the Delhi assembly elections. According to the data of Datanet, at present BJP is leading in 46 seats.

Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is trailing in the New Delhi assembly seat while BJP’s Pravesh Verma is ahead.

At present, there is a government of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi under the leadership of Atishi. At the same time, BJP and Congress are hopeful that they will win this time.

In most exit polls, the BJP has been predicted to get an edge. However, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress said that these exit polls will prove wrong.

CM Atishi trailing from Kalkaji, Kapil Mishra ahead from Karawal Nagar

BJP candidate Kapil Mishra is leading from Karawal Nagar seat. AAP’s Manoj Tyagi has fallen behind. At the same time, Arvind Kejriwal is trailing in the New Delhi seat.

Chief Minister Atishi is trailing from the Kalkaji seat. BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri is ahead of her.

Aam Aadmi Party candidate Avadh Ojha is trailing from Patparganj.

Delhi has 70 assembly seats, and any party needs 36 seats to form the government.

In the 2013 assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP contested the assembly elections and in its very first election, it won 28 out of 70 seats.

On the other hand, BJP had won more than 30. After this, it could not even cross the double-digit mark.

In the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party got a majority.

At the same time, in the 2014, 2019, and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.

Till now, the command of Delhi has been in the hands of three parties – Congress, BJP, and Aam Aadmi Party. Congress was in power for 19 years and BJP for 5 years.

At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party has been in power for the last ten years. Despite all three parties ruling Delhi, there are many assembly seats which these parties have not been able to win till date.
