IAS Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi, an efficient bureaucrat who has worked in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), has been appointed as Secretary to Chief Minister Fadnavis. Known for his honesty and efficiency, Dr. Pardeshi is called the ‘Bulldozer Man’ and ‘Demolition Man’ for his tough attitude and action against illegal construction while being Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

Dr. Who is Shrikar Pardeshi?

Dr. Pardeshi, who hails from Pune, is a 2001 batch IAS officer, who is known for his honesty and dedication. His career has had many notable achievements and challenging assignments. As Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad, he took the bold step of demolishing 487 illegal buildings, terminating 209 illegal water connections, and arresting 300 criminals and mafia leaders, thereby curbing illegal activities.

Return to Maharashtra after 6 years in PMO

In 2015, he was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), where his administrative ability was further appreciated. After spending six years in the PMO, Dr. Pardeshi returned to Maharashtra in June 2021 and took over as Managing Director of SICOM. After a year of foreign training, in 2022 he was appointed Secretary to the then Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
