BMC shared a post on X, in which a laborer was seen filling potholes on the road with a shovel. On this, users mocked and said, “BMC is using medieval-era tools even in 2025.”
Mumbai: On March 10, BMC posted a picture on X, in which a laborer is seen filling potholes on a Mumbai road. This post came in response to a complaint by another X user, in which concern was raised over the poor condition of the road. But people started trolling this post of BMC and said, “BMC is working with medieval tools even in 2025.”
Earlier, a user named Hrithik Bhosale had shared a picture expressing concern over the condition of the road and asked for a solution. In response to this, BMC shared a picture of the same road, in which the potholes were shown filled.
This effort of BMC was widely mocked on social media. Many users commented and shared the post, writing, “BMC Medieval technology even in 2025!” Some people even said, “This is not a metropolis, but a great hell.”
Users’ reactions to the post
One user quipped, “This is not a metropolis, but a great hell!”
Another user quipped, “How do they ensure that the road gets damaged again in two weeks?”
Another user raised the question, “What standard operating procedure (SOP) does BMC follow for filling potholes? Who inspects after the work is completed? What action is taken if the work is not done properly? Because after filling the potholes, due to the extra material, a height like a speed breaker is formed on the road, which is dangerous for vehicles.”
In this way, users are reacting fiercely to BMC’s post and trolling it.
