Those hurt in the shooting have received medical treatment. No names of suspect/s or hurt victims were released by the police. The area has been cordoned off and detectives are conducting further investigation.
Four people were injured in a shooting that occurred on Friday night in Washington DC, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). Those hurt were taken to hospital. The shooting took place around 9 PM local time. Three men and one lady were injured.
Local media outlets said all victims were “conscious and breathing”.
The shooting took place in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way Northeast. This location is just 500 feet away from the NoMa-Gallaudet U New York Avenue Metro station.
Two of the wounded victims made their way to a medical facility independently while the other two had to be taken to the hospital by emergency medical service personnel.
Police told media that the victim’s condition was stable.
MPD took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to give the status of the situation.

Preliminary: Adult male and adult female located at the scene, transported conscious and breathing. Two additional adult males arrived at a hospital, both conscious and breathing.
In another post, MPD said that detectives were at the scene carrying out an investigation.
The shooting took place near a prominent transportation hub. The area usually sees high activity. After the shooting, however, police cordoned off the area to collect evidence and also to look for any witnesses.
The police said that prima facie, it looks like this shooting was a result of a dispute between ‘known parties’. No names were released immediately
